About me
I was trained by my father, the sculptor and lettercutter John Skelton. After completing a three year apprenticeship with him in 1976, I worked alongside him in his workshops at Streat, near Ditchling in the UK. In October 1996 I completed the City and Guilds teaching certificate. My current work consists of commissioned memorials, plaques for buildings and sundials for public and private spaces.
I also enjoy carving poems on slate.
Courses are held in my father, John Skelton’s studio in Streat, where I teach lettercutting. Stone sculpture is also taught at the workshops.
